There were alot of connections I seen in the short story "The Minority Report" and the article Neuroscience of Crime and the lyrics that were given to read, but not so much of Crime and Punishment. First, im gone start off by telling a little about the short story, The Minority Report, it is basically about "Precrime". Ways to stop a crime before it really happens. (law enforcements looking into the future stopping crime, stuff like that) One of the characters get accused for committing a crime before it really happen. So, he goes off and proves that he wasn't or didn't really commit a crime. Really the whole purpose of the short story is to mirror the way these events would play out in reality. And for the article that was given, it basically talks about how Neuroscience could be used to predict some of the things that go through a crimnimal mind when doing a crime. It also says that it detect brain abnormalities that could trigger violence. And what that is saying is that they can stop criminals from doing a crime or nowing when a person is going to do a crime. (Kind of like "Precrime"). And for the lyrics I really didn't find any connections to the short story or article, but i did find an odd comparrison to novel, Crime and Punishment. One of the comparrison that i found is both talks about murder in some kind of way. The lyrics talks about a robot (preferbably a women robot) that is crazy and kills alot of people at this school and C&P talks about Raskolinkov killing the pawnbroker and her sister. And there is also some connection in the article as well, when Raskolinkov reacts when being questioned or after committing the crime. Ultimatley thats when everybody start to suspects him, cause he kind of showing signs of a guilty criminal. Which the article basically tries to explain to use, how they know when somebody has committed or is going to commit a crime through Neuroscience. By there emotions.
Well back to some of the connections that I've made between the short story, the article and Crime and Punishment which where really none. Because Crime and Punishment kind of follows a killer and the consequences of commiting a crime and being a criminal. And the short story talks about how to prevent a crime before it happens by going into the future (Precrime). As well for the article too. And the "I Dont Like Mondays" song basically talks about Robots killing people at a school. Which I think is a sign to not make Robots in the future. Which can also follow under Precrime.
